It started with a Katha that couldn't happen
One of our founders wanted to organise Shri Satyanarayana Bhagwan Katha at home on a Sunday — a day the whole family could be together. The intention was simple. The arrangements weren't.
The local Pandit Ji she approached was already committed elsewhere, so he helped arrange another Pandit Ji for the family's preferred time. Everything seemed settled. The family planned the day, the preparations began, and everyone kept themselves available.
Then, barely an hour before the scheduled Katha, a call came: due to an unexpected exigency, the Pandit Ji wouldn't be able to come. Calls to the original Pandit Ji went unanswered — he himself was conducting a pooja elsewhere. The family was ready. The home was ready. The day had been kept aside. But the Katha had to be cancelled.
Somewhere between those unanswered calls and a pooja that couldn't happen, a question emerged: if we can plan almost every important part of our lives with greater certainty today, why should organising a pooja still depend so much on uncertainty? That question became an idea. And that idea became DevAura.
A women-led startup, built to make tradition easier to reach
DevAura is a women-led startup created to make organising poojas simpler, more reliable, transparent, and accessible for today's families. We help families connect with Pramanit Pandit Ji for poojas, kathas, and religious ceremonies according to their preferred date, time, and mahurat.
Depending on the service, families can choose arrangements with or without samagri, understand the applicable charges beforehand, and organise their pooja through a convenient digital experience — from Shri Satyanarayana Bhagwan Katha, Griha Pravesh, Hawan, and Nav Griha Shanti to Roka ceremonies, marriage rituals, Vahan Pooja, and more.
And for families living abroad, distance shouldn't mean distance from tradition. Through guided Online Pooja, we help families stay connected with their faith and roots wherever life takes them. Your city may change, your lifestyle may change — your connection with your roots doesn't have to.

Two co-sisters, two journeys, one shared purpose — connected through family and a shared respect for the traditions they grew up with.
Sugandh Saxena
Educated entirely in Delhi, Sugandh graduated with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Delhi and began her professional journey in technology — working as a Software Engineer and later as a Robotics Coder & Instructor with reputed organisations. That technologist's instinct to redesign broken processes met a deeply personal moment when her own planned Satyanarayan Katha had to be cancelled for want of a Pandit Ji. She stepped away from her professional career to build DevAura full-time.
Arushi Saxena
Arushi completed her schooling in Lucknow, followed by a B.Sc. in Hospitality from IHM and an M.A. in English Literature, and built her career as an Educator and Training Specialist with reputed organisations. Her background brings the human side of DevAura into focus — the understanding that behind every booking is a family, an occasion, and an expectation that deserves patience, clarity, and care.
