Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage DevAura ("we", "us") uses on devaura.co.in, why, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Data Policy, which cover personal data more broadly.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website can place in your browser to remember information between visits. Some sites also use similar browser storage (like "local storage") for the same purpose. We use both terms loosely below to mean anything your browser stores on our behalf.
3. Essential Storage (Always On)
These are necessary for the site to function — booking a pooja, using the shop cart, or staying logged in simply wouldn't work without them. Under the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules"), consent is not required for processing that is necessary to provide the service you've asked for — this is that category. We store these in your browser's local storage, not as traditional cookies, and they never leave your device except when you submit a form (like completing a booking):
devaura_user — keeps you logged in between page visits.
devaura_bookings, devaura_orders, devaura_cart — your booking history, shop orders, and current cart contents, so they don't vanish when you navigate between pages.
devaura_returnUrl — remembers which page to send you back to after logging in.
devaura_cookie_consent — remembers your cookie choice itself, so we don't ask you every single visit.
4. Analytics Cookies (Only With Your Consent)
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to help us understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. GTM does not load at all until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner — rejecting, or simply not responding, means it never runs, and no associated cookies are set. This is enforced in code, not just stated in this policy.
Because GTM is a tag-management tool, the exact third-party cookies it may set depend on what is configured inside our GTM container (for example, Google Analytics), which can change over time. If you'd like specifics on what's currently configured, write to us at connect@devaura.co.in.
5. Your Choices
You can accept or reject analytics cookies when the banner first appears, and change your mind at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page — consent under the DPDP Act must be as easy to withdraw as it is to give, and this is how we do that. You can also clear cookies and local storage directly through your browser's own settings at any time, which will reset all of the above, including your login.
6. Legal Basis
We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, in line with Section 6 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (not yet in force at the time of writing — we're applying its consent standard in anticipation). Essential storage is processed as necessary to perform the service you've requested. Our broader security practices, covering how we protect any personal data collected via this site, are described in our Data Policy, in line with Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (Act No. 21 of 2000) and the SPDI Rules made under it.
